Core challenges is my sorta of thing. Anything I can get my hands to intensify core and full body workouts the better.
Just like Pilates suspension training works hand in and to achieve a tight strong core. These body weight movements use a variety of multiple muscles at the same time.
It’s that love – hate relationship. You hate it because you feel every single muscle in your body burning, fatiguing and you want to stop half way through, but you’ll love the results and hos much stronger you get and feel after a
workouts.
Recently I’ve been incorporating suspension training into my Pilates workouts and lovin it. My good friend, Dan Long has introduced some intense core and full body workouts.
In the video below, Dan explains the benefits of Suspension Training:
Pilates core workout with the suspension trainer:
Pilates Suspension Core move: Single Leg Ab Pull
* 10 reps on each side
* 4 sets, rest
By using a suspension trainer, it changes the angle of the body you can control how difficult or simple a workout can be. When holding the body in proper alignment the exercises are challenging by forcing the body to move with awareness and control.
PLUS…When Pilates is paired with its counterpart – suspension straps, it takes the workout to a whole new dynamic level by increasing the effectiveness of a full body workout by achieving a stronger core and improve over all body strength, posture, flexibility and balance.
Here’s my good friend Dan, he is one big guy but super sweet and gentle.
